MY STORY

I believe that every individual is in total control of their career destiny and that you can learn something from every experience. My goal as a career coach is not only to help you realize those goals, but empower you to achieve them. I want you to feel confident in your next job application, interview or career move. With over a decade of experience as a nonprofit administrator, educator and career adviser, I’ll apply what I’ve learned first-hand with simple yet impactful tips to help you grow professionally. So if you’re feeling unsure about the future, let’s chat.

I am a trained classical bassoonist and K-12 instrumental music educator. I’m currently an Account Executive at FORM, a digital-first creative agency that works exclusively with nonprofit organizations. So how did I stray so far from my formal training? Like most professionals will tell you, careers often make more sense looking backward than forward, so I’ll run you through my career path in reverse chronological order (like a good resume should).

Before joining FORM, I was the Director of Community Partnerships & Career Advising at the Cleveland Institute of Music where I launched CIM's inaugural career advising program and mentored conservatory-trained musicians in understanding and working toward their goals. Prior to that role, I was the Manager of Learning Programs & Community Engagement at The Cleveland Orchestra where I coached orchestra musicians in creating and teaching arts-integrated curriculum in classrooms all over Cleveland. In all of my professional experiences, I’ve loved working with nonprofits and people, helping them evolve for the better one small step at a time.

As a musician, I have a keen listening ear, collaborative spirit, and sense of empathy for others. As an educator, I learned how to break down a goal into achievable learning milestones. As a marketer, I've learned how to communicate your value so it resonates with others.

These days, I live with my husband and two sons on the west side of Cleveland. I still play the bassoon from time to time and I picked up ukulele and drum set over the years. I'm a volunteer with LakewoodAlive and a board member of Documentary Songwriters. love to relax by watching Ru Paul's Drag Race, cooking for my family and playing video games.
